Background
Jasmeet is a family medicine physician at Dignity Health in Bakersfield, CA. She has spent many years practicing as well as advocating for more effective health care policy in California and the United States. Jasmeet currently serves on the California Health and Human Services Agency California Developmental Services Task Force, and the Ready to Lead Women Physician Leadership Development Program. She is a District VI Delegate to the California Medical Association and a Delegate to the California Academy of Family Physicians. She is also a Governor's Appointee on the California Healthcare Workforce Policy Commission as a Division of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).
Jasmeet has served as a board director for Global Family Care Network, Kern County Medical Society, Kern Regional Center, and Taft College Foundations. She has engaged in extensive volunteer work throughout her career, including as a volunteer for Heal Our World Organisation and an Advisor for the Global Medical Brigades at California State University, Bakersfield. She has also been involved in a number of global health initiatives, including Thermometer Global health project in Honduras to train proper use of medications in children, cervical cancer treatment and prevention training in Panama and Honduras, and HIV and TB screening in New Delhi, India.
