AHT 6350 Family-Based Alternative Care for Orphans
Description
This course provides theoretical frameworks and practical approaches for developing family-based orphan care systems in low- and middle-income countries. Students will explore alternative care strategies as a replacement for institutional orphanages, focusing on wraparound care, child protection, and family strengthening.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) from an approved institution. Equivalent international qualifications with an appropriate number of credits will also be considered. Applicants should demonstrate sufficient academic preparation to undertake postgraduate study. In some cases,
applicants with lower academic results may be considered for admission on a provisional basis, at the discretion of the admissions committee. B2 English (Upper Intermediate) ESL proficiency certificate or equivalent proficiency in the English language is required.
